Monet Haystacks Prints Set of 4 – Summer to Snow

From a green summer to the light of winter: Haystacks at Giverny, Haystacks, Effect of Snow and Sun, Wheatstacks, Snow Effect, Morning and Haystacks, Snow Effect. This set brings them together as 4 art prints, at 20% off the price of the four posters bought separately.

The haystacks stood in a field just beside Monet’s house in Giverny. In 1890 and 1891 he painted them some twenty-five times, in every season and at every hour, with a pile of canvases that he changed whenever the light changed. Fifteen were shown together in Paris in 1891 and sold within days: the series made his fortune and his name as the painter of light. This set opens with a haystack glowing red in the summer grass, then follows three snowy mornings, lilac in the sun, pink at dawn and blue in the cold shadow. Hung as a grid of four, they show how one simple subject can change completely with the weather, in a living room, a bedroom or an office.
