Most of the image is given over to sky. Dark, still and almost black.
At the bottom, a cluster of rooftops rises into view. One building stands out, its slim vertical windows lined up like comb teeth. Another recedes into shadow, while a third wall cuts across the scene at an angle. Together, they form a small skyline of crisp edges, like shapes cut from paper.
There’s something compelling about the open space in this composition. The buildings seem to emerge from a dark sea, drawing your eye between the light and shadowed planes. Minimal, certainly, but with plenty to hold your attention.
On your wall, it adds depth and a strong graphic note. Try it in a home office, a contemporary bedroom or above a low sideboard in a Kiwi home. The poster is available in several sizes.
This is one of the more abstract works in our brutalist architecture poster collection. Interested in the thinking behind these clean, weighty forms? Read our guide to brutalism, its ideas and architecture.
