Dark fins in formation, like soldiers standing to attention beneath the clouds.
A sequence of tall, dark concrete fins runs diagonally down the frame, each capped with a small vent. Behind them, a bright sky filled with swirling clouds takes up most of the image. The contrast between the solid, orderly fins and the light, unsettled sky gives this photograph its striking character.
There’s a lively sense of movement in the diagonal, bringing energy to an otherwise still structure and drawing your eye towards the clouds.
This 4:5 poster adds a dramatic note to a living room, home office or stairwell wall, whether in a Wellington townhouse or elsewhere. It pairs well with a black frame and comes in several sizes.
Repetition and rhythm are recurring themes in our brutalist wall art. To explore the visual language of brutalism, read our article about the movement.
