The Archangel: Techno-Byzantine Sci-Fi Poster

The Archangel rises above a cavernous city, arms outstretched and cables fanning like metallic plumage. We’ve shaped the figure as a totem, with polished armour, filigree panels and a cool chrome face. A molten red-orange halo glows behind it. Below, a shaft of light meets a yellow lake. The palette shifts from teal stone and graphite shadows to brass and ember hues. Quiet and solemn, with an uncanny edge. Wings are overrated; cables will do.

Our composition draws on techno-baroque rhythms: repeating motifs, stacked towers and long vertical lines that lead the eye from crown to reflection. It works from across the room, then offers tiny ornamental circuits to discover up close. On the wall, it gives rooms with a mix of character and calm a strong focal point. Picture charcoal paint, walnut, aged brass or raw concrete, at home in a Wellington villa or a contemporary bach. Pools of soft light let the halo glow.
