The long pink house with its green shutters stretches along the left side, covered in climbing plants. In front of it, the garden is in full bloom: rose bushes on standards, flower beds in white and pink, and a wall of dark trees on the right. The light is warm, late in the day.
Monet lived in this house at Giverny from 1883 until his death in 1926, first as a tenant, then as owner from 1890. He designed the garden as a painting, with colour schemes for each season. Painted in 1912, this view shows the place as visitors can still see it today.
Warm and welcoming, it is an ideal print for an entrance, a living room or a kitchen. Our Monet posters include other views of the house and its two gardens. Our article on Giverny and its painter tells their story. Square format, several sizes.
